Event Description
From the expected wines of the Loire, to some of the more obscure wines of the east of France via the superb aromatics of Alsace. This tasting is one for those wanting to find brilliant wines that their friends havent' heard of.
Part 1: The Loire Valley
The Loire hosts famous regions such as Sancerre, Vouvray and Muscadet. There is, however more to this winding river than white wines. Discover the joys of Cabernet Franc, sweet and sparkling wines, alongside delicious sweeties from Chenin Blanc.
Part 2: Alsace
Still undervalued and underpriced. A region that has it's finger on the pulse, putting both grape variety and sweetness level on the bottle. Great wines from Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris find their home here, amongst many others. We'll taste these 3 grapes and explore many more.
Part 3: Jura & Savoie
Becoming ever popular with restaurants at the top end of the market, Jura and Savoie could be the next big thing in French wine. High up in the mountains, and popular with skiers and exceptionally food friendly, these wines should not be missed!
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, tasting sheet and use of professional tastings glasses.
