Halloween Food & Wine Tasting: Trick or Treat?

Food and Wine matching can be a tricky concept. We've all had something that unexpectedly works as well as those matches that destroy our palates. On this tasting we'll be putting the main principles to the test.

• Does sweetness always kill a dy wine?
• What exactly is umami  and how does it affect wine?
• Does every salty food really make a wine better?
• When is too much chilli too much for you?

We will try 6 different wines and tatse them all with 6 different pairings. Some will be treats, some will be tricks. Do you dare try?

All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, tasting sheet, and use of professional tastings glasses.
